Emily's research is based on infants' perception of emotional expressions. Her studies are designed for 6- and 10-month-old infants. The infants view either static or dynamic faces portraying happy and disgust expressions. Results indicate that many infants are able to group positive and negative expressions into categories on moving and still images.
