Dr. Carol Cokely is the Director of Clinical Education in audiology. She monitors the clinical competency outcomes at the level of individual audiology doctoral students, aggregate cohorts and the overall program, and develops and implement assessment tools, and coordinate program accreditation efforts. She teaches courses in adult aural rehabilitation, research in audiology and counseling/mentoring. Research and project development interests include clinical education assessment and outcomes. Dr. Cokely has a longstanding involvement in task forces and committees from the American Academy of Audiology, the Council of Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and Audiology Group of the Economic Healthcare Committee. She is a past president of the Academy of Rehabilitative Audiology and past board member of the American Academy of Audiology. She is active in community-clinic based and inter-professional community outreach programs. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Queens College of the City University of New York, a master’s degree from Northwestern University, and her PhD from Indiana University.
