Dr. Regina Ybarra teaches a variety of courses including Abnormal Psychology, Experimental Projects in Psychology, and Introduction to Psychology. Dr. Ybarra has over a decade of teaching experience and has held faculty positions at Alfred University, Auburn University at Montgomery, Austin Peay State University, and Collin College. She has taught a variety of psychology courses, worked with graduate and undergraduate students interested in becoming therapists, and she has conducted and published research on a variety of topics including self-injurious behavior and military sexual trauma. Dr. Ybarra is also a licensed psychologist in the state of Texas and has worked in private practice specializing in cognitive behavioral therapies for treatment of depression, anxiety, self-injurious behaviors, substance abuse, relationship and family problems, post-traumatic stress disorder, sexual trauma, and personality disorders. Dr. Ybarra earned her PhD in counseling psychology from The Ohio State University and completed her internship at the Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.
