Dr. Faisal Jahangiri is an internationally renowned neurophysiologist who teaches courses in neuroscience at the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences. He is President and CEO of Global Innervation LLC in Dallas, Texas, and provides independent consultations to various national and international hospitals and neuromonitoring companies. He was elected president of the American Society of Neurophysiologic Monitoring (ASNM) for the 2020-21 term. After completing his medical school at Khyber Medical College in Pakistan and training in general surgery and radiology, Dr. Jahangiri completed graduate studies in biomedical engineering. Dr. Jahangiri is a Diplomate by the American Board of Neurophysiological Monitoring and was awarded a fellowship by the ASNM and ASET (American Neurodiagnostic Society). He also has a mini-fellowship in movement disorders from the Department of Neurological Sciences, University of Nebraska. Dr. Jahangiri has worked as a senior clinical neurophysiologist and trainer with some premier IONM companies in the United States. He has performed and supervised over 10,000 surgical procedures in more than 300 hospitals across 20 states in the USA and overseas. He is routinely invited as a guest speaker at various national and international conferences. Dr. Jahangiri is also a reviewer for many journals and has published many papers (including with UT Dallas students), book chapters, scientific abstracts, and two books.
