Annette Glotfelty is a PhD student in the cognitive neuroscience program. She received her BA in english literature & language with a minor in Spanish from Western Illinois University, and her MA in film studies from University College London. She has an MS degree in communication disorders from The University of Texas at Dallas and is a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP). She works with Drs. Steven Small and Ana Solodkin at UT Dallas in collaboration with Dr. Jeremy Skipper at University College London. Annetteā€™s primary research interest is the neurobiology of language, and her current work focuses on brain processing of taboo words and expressions using naturalistic stimuli (i.e., participants watching full length films during neuroimaging acquisition).
