Denise Williams

Denise is a doctoral student in the BBS psychology program with a concentration in social psychology at The University of Texas at Dallas. She received her BS in psychology with a minor in music at the University of California, Davis and a MA in psychology with an emphasis in Counseling at Pepperdine University. Denise is interested in exploring what it means to promote and maintain meaningful connections. Under the mentorship of Dr. Heidi Kane, she works as a research assistant in the Close Relationships and Health Lab studying the social, emotional, and physiological processes within romantic relationships. Through her studies, she hopes to make academic research more inclusive and accessible to traditionally marginalized communities.
