Undergraduate Opportunities

Research in Individual Speech-Language and Hearing Laboratories
Many students choose to complete research with our Speech, Language, and Hearing Faculty whose research covers the areas of speech production, language skills, and physical, physiological and psychological aspects of hearing. Areas of specialization include developmental language disorders (DLD), autism, bilingualism, and tinnitus. View more information about individual research labs.
Options for Working in a Lab: Students can get independent study credit (talk to your academic advisor for options), volunteer, or get paid under some circumstances.
Finding a Lab: To find a research lab the best option is to use our research portal where you can search by research area and find laboratories with current openings.
SPARK Fellowship
The SPARK (Student Program for Applied Research with Kids) Fellowship is a year-long, 32-week paid internship that provides college students with the tools and connections to combine high-quality, developmental research with CCF’s empirically driven, community-based outreach program Play With Me.
