Ekarin Pongpipat is a doctoral student in the cognition and neuroscience program and works in the Cognitive Neuroscience of Aging Lab led jointly by Dr. Karen Rodrigue and Dr. Kristen Kennedy. In 2012, he earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology at the California State University of Northridge while researching neurofeedback and event-related potentials of attention under the supervision of Dr. Jose Abara. In 2016, he earned his master’s degree in psychology at the San Diego State University while researching the functional connectivity of gustatory cortices in individuals with Metabolic Syndrome under the supervision of Claire Murphy. He is currently interested in understanding brain networks in healthy aging and how disease states may affect it.
