Yue Li is a doctoral student in the psychology program with a concentration in social psychology. She works with Dr. Jiyoung Park in the Culture & Affective Neuroscience Lab. She earned her BS in psychology from Beijing Normal University in 2018 and MA in cognitive science in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2020. Yue is interested in emotion regulation, the interaction between emotion and cognition, and how culture influences these processes. She is eager to explore how emotions guide and misguide cognitive processes, different forms of emotion regulation, and what contributes to successful and unsuccessful emotion regulation, while taking cultural differences into consideration. Outside of research, Yue enjoys cooking, reading, hiking, and Netflix.
