Research in Individual Psychology Laboratories
Some students may be interested in gaining research experience with our Psychology Faculty to learn more about the research process, receive hands-on training within a specific area of psychology, and prepare them for post-graduate opportunities including graduate programs, medical school and research careers.
Many of our faculty run research laboratories investigating a wide range of areas in the field, such as child development, clinical conditions, cognition, family processes, personality, relationships and many other topics. Read more about individual research laboratories.
Options for Working in a Lab: Participating in a research lab can take several forms. Some students simply volunteer, others work for credit via Directed Research or Individual Study, and some participate as part of the BBS Honors Program. For more information about these options, please consult an academic advisor.
Finding a Lab: So… how does a student join a research lab? Our research portal allows you to survey our labs, find ones with openings and apply for a position.
