AAAS CASE Workshop

LinkedIn Profile

“I was selected for the AAAS CASE workshop in DC and attended in April, funded by the OGE, where I met with Congresspeople one-on-one and spoke with members of the NIH, NSF, AAAS CEO, etc.

The OGE selected only one student out of all graduate students, and the workshop itself only invited 30 universities to send students.

The purpose of this conference was to learn science policy, public and community communication and outreach, and how to become an advocate for science policy funding and public outreach.

It was an amazing experience and has prompted me to get involved in science policy in a number of ways since the conference!”
